Bonhomie

A big part of the fun of any trip away from home is good food and good company.

At Walls Farm we hope to offer you both when you join your hosts for a delicious home-cooked supper.
Kay is a self-taught cook of high regard and where possible will use produce grown in her own vegetable garden or sourced locally. Kay's cooking is reknowned in the Wedmore area with her bold flavours and attention to detail.  You will enjoy an imaginative and seasonal menu served with wine.
An enjoyable supper will be an excellent way to get to know your fellow birdwatchers and also a relaxed way to learn of some of the birds we are likely to encounter on our excursions.

Depending on the duration of your holiday and when not dining with your hosts, you will have the option to self-cater in the well-equipped cottage kitchen.  A food basket can be requested (offering meat, fish, vegetables etc.) and can be waiting for you on arrival. Alternatively Wedmore village offers a well-stocked shop and some excellent pubs and restaurants that are only a short drive away.

local pubs

Wedmore village has three good pubs each offering differing styles.

The Swan is very stylish with a large restaurant.

The George has a convivial atmosphere

The New Inn is very much a friendly local drinking bar that also serves good pub-grub.

Nearby are other very good pubs/eateries, namely:-

The Wheatsheaf in Stone Allerton

The White Horse in Mark

All pubs/restaurants are just approximately 10 minutes’ drive from Walls Farm and offer excellent food at reasonable prices.
